Under the sea…
Here are a few of the details from Livie’s mermaid party, including the sweet little birthday girl herself.
We sent invitations tiny messages in little bottles. US mail yielded faster delivery than water transport.
We decorated with seashells from Grampa Great’s collection, as well as treasure chests, pearls and other items from Mom and Karyl.
Mom made an angel food cake, and Ava helped me with a shell cake.

Number six cookies, of course!
Gift boxes, with chocolate coins, inflatable fish toys and a few other goodies for my nieces and nephews:
Starfish Rice Krispy treats:
And little “oysters” with candy pearls.
Jellyfish from lanterns and ribbon (hung with care by Uncle Josh):
And a couple more shots of sweet Livie Lou!
Thanks to everyone who was able to join us, and for those who sent greetings from afar.
