Here are a few of the details from Livie’s mermaid party, including the sweet little birthday girl herself.

We sent invitations tiny messages in little bottles. US mail yielded faster delivery than water transport.

We decorated with seashells from Grampa Great’s collection, as well as treasure chests, pearls and other items from Mom and Karyl.

Mom made an angel food cake, and Ava helped me with a shell cake.

And, speaking of Ava, I can’t even…

Number six cookies, of course!

Gift boxes, with chocolate coins, inflatable fish toys and a few other goodies for my nieces and nephews:

And little “oysters” with candy pearls.
