Olivia’s had a few loose teeth for quite a bit now, but one in particular has been the focus of late. Every day she’d mention it, asking if she could “slam it out.” Despite her tries, linking the tooth and the doorknob with a thin piece of floss did little to coax it out of it’s place. Last week, though, Bryan helped her twist it out, and the Tooth Fairy visited for the first time in quite a long while. She brought with her a tiny little note, a new wreath for her door, a stack of coins and a sprinkle of purple fairy dust.
Then, on Monday, Olivia lost another tooth at school. This took us by surprise, because she hadn’t mentioned this one at all. And then the next day, she lost a THIRD tooth. She now holds a preschool record for this feat:
When she arrived home from preschool yesterday, she reported, “I did not lose ANY teeth today.” Losing three teeth in as many days has changed Olivia’s sweet smile quite a bit, but I think it’s made her even cuter. Plus, now her teacher can call her the “toothless wonder.”

She looks even cuter, and somehow, more grown-up!
