Spring cleaning

I thought I’d try to spruce up around here—any thoughts on the new (possibly temporary) theme?

It is not worth the effort – just relax and enjoy the ‘free’ time you have!

I thought you were talking about ‘cleaning’ – then it occurred to me that you were talking about the new look of your website. Spring cleaning is one thing my Mother used to do regularly – along with fall cleaning. It involved washing walls, curtains, blinds, carpets, etc. I hated it – totally – and to this day, I refuse to carry out that tradition. But, I really like the fresh look of your site – but it does remind me of all the work I need to accomplish outside. I did clean a disgusting corner of my closet this morning – I won’t even tell you how big the dust/fur ball was that I swept up – or how long all of the items I removed were dwelling there in that corner. I am a big help, aren’t I!

Love the new look! I am itching for Spring, too, so it was a lovely surprise!

And Mom, I apparently got my love of Spring cleaning from Grandma Bonnie. I have been madly organizing our house since March 1st rolled around — we’ve finally cleaned up Josh’s office, various closets, and even some drawers and shelving (with more in the queue) and have sent piles of things to Goodwill. It feels so wonderful to purge things and not see a chore everywhere I turn. And I totally intended to clean behind the couch today but decided to go shopping instead (head to my blog for more on that story).

Wow! Great-looking new site. Can’t tell you how much we love your blog. It really keeps us in touch and is a regular source of entertainment, news and granddaughter fixes.

Not to mention terrific, thought-provoking writing by the proprietor.

  6. I thought I was on the wrong site and it took me a minute! I think it looks really good. I often wonder about changing the look of my site to something more edgy. I like this theme Rebecca, good job!

Karyl, surely you’ve known me long enough to know I don’t partake in spring cleaning (sorry, Gramma)! We did spend part of the weekend organizing like Laura and Josh, but that’s more in preparation for the party. Now, though, I suppose you’ll know it’s not always like this…

And, Doug, I appreciate the kind words. I have felt like I’ve been neglecting photo editing and blogging lately, but I will try to step it up!

I agree with Doug, it is wonderful to see your family and hear your thoughts and “overheard” stories!
