Little love notes
Olivia is spending quite a bit of time writing lately, producing stacks of sweet homemade cards and little notes.
This one, which I’m happy to say was intended for me, says “I love you. You are the best person on earth.”
Of course, she may have had an ulterior motive, as I received this demand regarding ear piercing a moment later:

Santa Claus came to town
The girls knew we were having a small party last Sunday, but they weren’t aware Santa was the guest of honor—at least not until he rang the doorbell.
Santa had presents for the girls and their friends, and he entertained discussion of some rather long wish lists.
Ava has never again referenced the conversation she had with Bryan this summer, perhaps choosing to forget it completely. Olivia believes entirely, and seemed obviously concerned her ability to secure a spot on the nice list.
It will be a close call, but I think she’ll make it.
