There’s a song by The National that includes the lyrics, “You know I dreamed about you for 29 years before I saw you,” and it makes me think of Olivia every single time I hear it. Today, my sweet little Livie turns five, and she’s even more amazing than I’d imagined.

What an amazing collection of incredibly delightful photos! I love the sixth one – the wispiness of her hair is entirely charming. They are all wonderful, though – Doug was very touched that you included one of his photos! I know you all are having a great time is Disney!

Happy happy birthday, sweet Olivia! I teared up when I looked at this series of photos… such a beautiful, spirited, sweet, happy girl. It’s such a privilege to watch her grow up. Hope she is having a magical birthday!!
