Caramel Apple Cake

I love everything about this recipe, which I found through my new favorite procrastination tool, Pinterest. I can assure you, however, that I did not make my own homemade applesauce. Nevertheless, this cake had a moist crumb, and the caramel and old-fashioned cooked buttercream both came together beautifully.

In the interest of full disclosure, I should probably mention I didn’t try this cake. The downside of no starch or sugar is that I lose the luxury of sampling. (The upside? More room for ribs and steak!) But, I stand by the assertion anything with caramel is probably delicious.

I will attest that it was, indeed, delicious! The first time around, the second time, the third . . . .

    Not to mention those cookies . . . .

I agree with Deb, the cake and cookies were delicious. I just wish had as much will power as the Baker does though!!!!

That is quite possibly the prettiest cake I’ve ever seen. And Rebecca, I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DIDN’T TRY IT. I’m not sure whether to be wowed by your willpower or concerned about the state of your sanity.

It was the cookies that almost did me in. I will have to post those tomorrow.
