We had our first large garden tomato just last week. I’m hopeful that a bountiful harvest that might allow for a bit of canning is right around the corner, but it seems quite late. So just in case this might be one of a few, I relished every bite of that BLT.

that is one beautiful tomato! We had BLTs tonight – they were very tasty. I have been having tomatoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner – wish we could have them year around – but then they would not be so very special!

We had BLTs the night before last! And the night before that, we had my other favorite dish featuring garden tomatoes and cucumbers–a village salad with grilled chicken. I’ve been looking forward to eating that all summer long.
