I joined my mother-in-law, Karyl, and my sisters-in-law, Debbie, Jess and Laura, for a quilting weekend in Nebraska last Friday through Sunday. Doug spearheaded meal preparation and childcare (with the help of Bryan, Josh and Jason, of course) leaving the girls to hours of uninterrupted sewing.
We look pretty serious in these photos Bryan snapped, but the entire weekend was relaxing and very memorable.

This really tells the story, Bryan. You need to shoot more often!
Also, Bryan and Jason really took charge of the food. Bryan made Grandma Dixie’s pancakes and fabulous omelets. Jason manned the grill. Doug did the fries (a hit), sausage (also a hit) and the build-your-own pizza – forgot the sauce!

I think the good photos were all Rebecca’s!

This was a really fun weekend! Thank you for the photos, Bryan and Rebecca! I can’t wait until we get together again! Debbie is almost done with her quilt, Laura is almost done with the crib bumpers, and I finished piecing the quilt I was working on yesterday. Jessica made great progress on the quilt she is making for her friend, Debbie! We did get a lot done – I would like to see a photo of your quilt, Rebecca! You get the prize – at least you will at some point – for finishing your project first!! Thank you Bryan, for all of your help with the cooking and child care! And thanks so much to Grandpa for getting things organized, and providing the kids with that super slide and pool.
