We woke up to temperatures in the low 30s this morning, perfect for an outdoor event for 70 at 9 am…
I am still defrosting, but at least there weren’t sidewalks to shovel. Soon enough, I’m sure.

It snowed here the better part of the day. The low temp was 24.3 degrees and the high was 35.1 degrees — wind chill was in the mid-teens. Nasty.
About an inch of snow accumulated on the cool surfaces and the rock on the driveway was so icy and slippery, it was nearly impossible to walk up to the mailbox.
I usually love the first snow, but it was a sad day — losing all of the flowers and the remainder of the garden so early.

It snowed in Iowa, too, for the better part of yesterday morning. No real accumulation, but the flakes were coming down pretty quickly at times.
Time to put our garden to bed, too, it seems!
