Shear Excellent Parenting

Bryan here.  I’m home alone tonight with both girls.  I assured Bec that everything would be okay leaving the girls with me.  After all, I have almost 4 years of experience in responsible parenting.  However, within just 30 minutes of arriving home with both girls tonight, I went to check on Ava who was playing quietly while I was making dinner and tending to Livie (who was hungry and grouchy).  Guess what Ava was doing and how much trouble Daddy will be in when Mommy returns?   Here’s a hint:

In my defense, those are safety scissors, but I think I’ll probably still be in trouble:

Oh, dear! Maybe you can tell Rebecca that you were just trying to even out her bangs, and whoops, the scissors slipped. Sort of like when Dad accidentally shaved off Laura’s eyebrow.

It’s okay. Kids will be kids. It will grow back.

Those were Lori’s comments, by the way. Not mine.

Rebecca’s silence on this matter is worrisome.

Wow. Hey Bryan, in an effort to take some of the heat off of you for this one, I’ll just note that there is a very, very good possibility that the scissors Ava used were part of her 3rd birthday present from me.

Just put a clip in it. We know from the post earlier this week that Ava has plenty.

  7. Ah…being with Rebecca while this was unveiled I must say that Rebecca handled herself pretty well. Okay, so we had to hold her down and convince her she didn’t need to go home (JK). But seriously Rebecca, in the world we live in, with crashing stock markets, high unemployment, and a failing economy perhaps it was just her way of saying…”i’m in control and you’re not.” So be it. Relax my dear friend, for there are much worse things going on in this world that you are not in control of.

By the way… I love you dearly.

    Lori
