A headline from our local paper:

Heat advisory upgraded to Excessive Heat Warning

We’ve seen a string of storms since I shot this bit of sun on Saturday. Nothing too serious–just a fair amount of wind, rain and lightening.

Spring storms

I’ve managed to be out of the state for the first three big storms of the season. I caught a few photos of a small thunderstorm that passed just south of us last week.

This seems unnecessary.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for all of northeast Kansas. The weather service is predicting heavy snow — perhaps between 8 and 14 inches — along and south of the Kansas Turnpike Friday night through Saturday.

In like a lion…

The nice thing about Kansas is that by the time you get around to posting photos of the weekend snowfall, it’s already melted.
