Olivia spends a lot of time talking on the phone, and by “phone,” I mean anything that resembles a cell. Remotes, calculators, toys…anything that’s phone-sized instantly connects her to someone who apparently enjoys very one-sided conversations.
Olivia likes to include most of the words she knows, in random order.
Olivia: “Hi! Hi. Yeah! No, no, noooo. Hat mommy, yeah… Yeah, dog, kitty. Hat. Hat! No, no. Bye!”
Just wait until she can dial. Or text.

Despite behavior that was often questionable at best the past year, Santa did find his way to Ava Christmas morning. (Olivia, too, though she was pretty underwhelmed by the whole thing.)
Santa brought Ava a trunk of dress-up clothes.
He also brought a special pair of pajamas since Ava has been falling asleep on her own and in her own bed (big news around the Smith household).
Liv received a push-popper toy, but she was hoping for a new pacifier. This one’s worn out.
After a quick breakfast, we loaded up the kids and headed for the Smiths bright and early Christmas morning. More photos to come!

We made a very quick trip to Omaha on Saturday for Wyatt’s first birthday party.
I thought I grabbed my camera (which oddly enough, is working just fine now), but instead I picked up the one Katie lent me. It’s still out of batteries, so I had to rely on my phone–that’s why these photos are blurry(ier than normal).

Debbie and Jason had an adorable gingerbread man theme.
Wyatt was a huge fan of the cake, and he liked the attention that came with it, too.
