Rebecca: “Olivia, I think you are amazing. You are smart and incredibly funny. And, those eyelashes make me want to cry. You’re gorgeous. Are you happy, too?”
Olivia: “Yes, though it’s really hard having an eight-year-old sister.”
Rebecca: “I’m sure that’s true.”
Olivia: “And, it will be even harder having a nine-year-old sister.”
Rebecca: “Is there anything I can do to make it easier?”
Olivia: “Well, you could make her five.”

We ended up with five or so inches if snow (and, thankfully, we maintained power). Just as we bundled up and made our way outside this morning, neighbors Todd and Joe were heading down the hill. The kids had a great time playing while the grown ups made short work of the driveway and walks. Bryan joined the crew as they finished the street.

Olivia’s Kindergarten music concert was last night, and it was ADORABLE. There were about 60 kids singing and dancing together, and they did a fantastic job. Olivia looked so poised and grown up, we could hardly believe it. After the performance, Ava brought her a bouquet of roses to celebrate her first elementary school show.
There’s Livie, on the top row, second from the left.

The girls wore their Christmas dresses, which my mom made.
Ava’s up next in January!

Olivia: “I’ve been alive for six years. Do you know how I know that? You just say the age you are, then add ‘years’ after. ‘I’ve been alive for six years.’ See?”
Rebecca: “I’ve been alive for 35 years.”
Olivia: “Whoa…”
