I had to dig out the number three cookie cutter in preparation for Olivia’s birthday this weekend. I’m not entirely sure how the past few years managed to go by quite so fast.
I’m taking a bit of a blog break, but we’ll be back after the holiday weekend. Happy Thanksgiving!

I am surprised to see you still coming to this obviously abandoned blog.
Many apologies for the lack of posts—it’s been a crazy week. But, I am going to see if I can stretch your patience by asking you to wait just another few days…say, Tuesday. Does Tuesday work for you?

My good friend Dawn just started a blog, Two Wise Kids and a Blog. I am looking forward to the upcoming Bradon and Cameron fixes, and with any luck, Dawn will post about her unparalled baking skills, too!

You may have noticed that when you visit this blog, the URL automatically changes to http://www.smithfamilyweblog.com. This is thanks entirely to Josh, who knew that we wanted to move to a non-Wordpress designation.
When I started this quest several months ago, I searched for a number of combinations, finding that most anything with “Smith,” “family” and “blog” was already claimed. I did find http://www.smithfamilyweblog.com, and I immediately emailed Bryan, asking him to please purchase it as soon as possible. He found that it had been bought in the mere moments between my search and his. I gave up hope completely.
Then, a few weeks later, Josh mentioned that he purchased a URL for us—www.smithfamilyweblog.com. Quite a coincidence that we were all working toward the same end, at the same time. I’m glad it worked out the way it did.

I’m having what Josh calls bloguilt, but instead of actually taking time to write a real post, I’ll just ask you to hang on a few more days until work allows me to breathe again.
