Snowy Sunday
We ended up with five or so inches if snow (and, thankfully, we maintained power). Just as we bundled up and made our way outside this morning, neighbors Todd and Joe were heading down the hill. The kids had a great time playing while the grown ups made short work of the driveway and walks. Bryan joined the crew as they finished the street.

Hunkering down
The shopping’s done, the decorations are up, and our phones are charging . . . we’re ready for what promises to be a VERY white Christmas. After a thick shellac of ice, snow is beginning to fall.
If the power lines hold tomorrow, there will be plenty of baking (as well as snowmen and snow angels). If not, we’ll hope for it’s quick return, not to mention clear roads. Katie, Tom and Tom’s parents are here, but we are awaiting a few other very important guests to kick off this merry holiday. Much love from our home to yours!

Ava: “And, it’s holiday party day. That means movies, treats, parties, and absolutely no learning time whatsoever. It’s going to be awesome!”

Holiday music concert
Olivia’s Kindergarten music concert was last night, and it was ADORABLE. There were about 60 kids singing and dancing together, and they did a fantastic job. Olivia looked so poised and grown up, we could hardly believe it. After the performance, Ava brought her a bouquet of roses to celebrate her first elementary school show.
There’s Livie, on the top row, second from the left.
Playing the chimes…
The girls wore their Christmas dresses, which my mom made.
Ava’s up next in January!

Bec, upon putting a receipt in Bryan’s drawer: “Um, Bry, is this a list of stupid things I’ve said?”
Bry: “Yes, it’s for my website, ‘Shit My Wife Says.'”
