We walked in Saturday’s Earth Day parade with Ava and Olivia’s school. The girls wore wings, pinned butterflies in their hair, and carried mini globes. The parents wished it was much, much warmer than 37 degrees.

At one point, Ava said, “Hey look, Mom, I’m holding the Earth in my hands!”
Thankfully, she didn’t chide us for driving to the parade in an SUV while drinking coffee out of disposal cups…
