Hamburger helper

Ava and I made these hamburger cupcakes for Bryan’s company picnic. I should really give most of the credit to Ava–she helped with the baking, and she decorated and assembled almost all of them herself! It was a fast, easy and very kid-friendly project.

They’re adorable! I hope there is one left by the time I get there!

How incredibly clever and colorful! Your eyes are going to tell your taste buds that you’re eating a hamburger. There could be cognitive dissonance . . . this is such a creative idea, Rebecca!

It’s all Bakerella, Doug. Check out the link–she has a great site.

I showed your post and the Bakerella site to a woman here at the office and she said yours and Ava’s are better and more authentic-looking.

Scott made these same cupcakes, and he made one giant one with a small tart pan and put a candle in it for our friend Maria’s birthday. They sure are a hit at parties!
