Overheard

Olivia spends a lot of time talking on the phone, and by “phone,” I mean anything that resembles a cell. Remotes, calculators, toys…anything that’s phone-sized instantly connects her to someone who apparently enjoys very one-sided conversations.

Olivia likes to include most of the words she knows, in random order.

Olivia: “Hi! Hi. Yeah! No, no, noooo. Hat mommy, yeah… Yeah, dog, kitty. Hat. Hat! No, no. Bye!”

Just wait until she can dial. Or text.

That’s hilarious, you have a very chatty girl there. Colin also likes the phone (because it has buttons) but refuses to say anything other than “Hi!” repeatedly, or “byebye” once we’ve hung up. Kids are fun 🙂

I particularly love the insistence on the hat.

Olivia can already “dial” the phone. We received a call from her on Aunt Katie’s phone at Christmastime when she found the “redial” button! Very sweet.

Seriously, though — “dial?” Remember when Ava asked about Grampa and Gramma Great’s phone that has a “dial” instead of buttons? It does take a little bit of concentration to “dial” those phones these days!

It’s funny how Olivia is exhibiting behavior like Ava. Remember when Ava would walk around saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah….hahahahaha. Yeah yeah yeah”

Dad still has a voicemail with Ava saying those things. Adorable!!
