When Ava was a baby, I took her to have professional photographs taken at four weeks, eight weeks, 12 weeks, six months and one year. Olivia…well, that’s a different story. It’s not that I’m totally neglectful in this arena–we have hundreds of photos of her. Plus, we live closer to home now, which means closer to Doug, which means we have the opportunity for a professional shoot about once a month. Still, though, there’s something about a studio space that’s hard to replicate at home.
I booked a slot at Sears earlier this week, not holding much hope that we’d end up with anything usable. Ava’s at a stage where she often flat out refuses to have her photo taken, throwing her hands up to obscure her face. And, Olivia has a tendency to sleep through most everything.
So, I was pleasantly surprised to see the following results. Everyone is awake! And smiling! And, really darn cute.
Needless to say, it was an expensive endeavor.
